A Little About Me

**Move your cursor over the pictures. You will find a surprise.**

So you want to know a little about me eh? Well, I'm a 24 year California native. As you can tell, I'm not blonde. Nor do I surf. Seems to be the typical question everyone has for me when they learn I am from California. I was born and raised in California until I was 23. Than I moved to North Carolina to be with my now husband.

I love listening to music. Music is my escape from the world. I can close myself off from everyone, turn on the radio or pop in a cd and completely lose myself for a few hours. I can pretty much tolerate most kinds of music. I love Counting Crows, Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Sister Hazel, Matchbox 20 and many more. I have been to many concerts. So many that I have forgotten the number! :-)

I guess you can call me an animal lover. I have grown up with pets all my life. Mostly cats but I have had dogs, fish, and hamsters before. I had volunteered at the local animal shelter for about 4 months. Then I got a job in Sept of 2000 at a vet hospital. I was a kennel assistant. I made sure the animals were feed, walked and cleaned up after. I even helped with surgeries and tech work. But, unfortunately, I didn't like my boss. It made the days drag and I hated going to work. I happen to get a job at a vet hospital right around the corner from where I live. I am working as a receptionist. I absolutely LOVE the job! And I don't have to do the "dirty work" anymore! :-)

I love to travel. Seeing new sites and learning new cultures is a great experience. I have traveled a lot through the states. About 20 states during my travels. In the summer of 1997, I had an opportunity to travel to Europe. I spent about a month in Spain. I met some wonderful people from all over the world. I was able to go to Morocco for 2 days. Definately an eye opener! Makes you realize what we have and what others don't. Then coming home, I spent about 4 days in England. I am not a big fan of large cities, but I absolutely fell in love with London!! I would love to return there some day!

I started decorating cakes for fun. I never took any classes. Just taught myself from things I had seen on tv or saw in a book. I am not making any money from it right now. But maybe someday I can start my own little business. Course my husband's, coworkers just love my cakes! Haha
